Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Throughout the Triangle!
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and many events around the Triangle will be kicking off this weekend! While celebrations won’t be quite back to normal, there are many ways you can festively and safely celebrate everyone’s favorite holiday throughout our community!
Here are the most notable Irish pubs and St. Patrick’s Day events around the Triangle:
Irish Pubs and Restaurants
Bull McCabe’s – Durham
Enjoy St. Patrick’s Day on the patio and lawn at Bull McCabe’s! They are taking their COVID protocols very seriously and pride themselves on their clean, and safe, atmosphere! If the weather is nice, there’s no better place to spend one of the most exciting holidays of the year than at Bull McCabe’s!
Tra’Li Irish Pub – Raleigh
Authentic Irish fare (prepared by the Triangle’s only Irish-trained chef!), a vast variety of Irish beer and familiar faces that will make your St. Patrick’s Day as perfect as ever! The ingredients for the menu are sourced locally, so you’re not just supporting a local pub when you stop in but also the local farms!
Doherty’s – Apex and Cary
If you’re unsure if you’re ready to celebrate in public, ordering from Doherty’s is the way to go! They are taking preorders of their Irish classics, family-style meals and, platters, all of which are available for delivery or curbside pickup! If you’re wanting to celebrate in person, both locations will also be open with expanded outdoor dining options!
O’Malley’s Pub & Restaurant – Raleigh
O’Malley’s will be celebrating all week long, from the 12th – the 17th! Stop in for live music, giveaways, all the Guinness you can drink, traditional Irish meals and, of course, green beer!
Hibernian Pub – Raleigh and North Raleigh
Hibernian will be celebrating both the 13th and the 17th this year! Live music, giveaways and drink specials will highlight the festivities and, if you preorder your reserved ticket, you’ll also get complimentary beer and Reuban Bites!
Saints & Scholars – North Raleigh
Enjoy your night on the covered, heated, patio at Saints and Scholars! The Amazing Lounge Lizards will be performing all night long and they’ll be serving up festive drinks to ensure you get the proper St. Patrick’s Day fix!
The Piper’s Tavern – Raleigh
Typically, Piper’s throws the biggest St. Patrick’s Day bash in Raleigh and, while this year that still won’t be the case, they are promising a good time! There will be expanded indoor and outdoor seating to ensure their guests can enjoy festive music, traditional eats and all of the Irish drinks they want!
St. Patrick’s Day Events Around the Triangle:
St. Paddy’s Fest – Raleigh Beer Garden (Raleigh)
Enjoy a day at the beer garden with live Irish music, themed cocktails, and, of course, all of the Guinness one could imagine! Tickets to reserve your spot are $20 per person, which includes your first drink and a basket of delicious Reuben Bites. The event will be held on Saturday, March 13th from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.
Early St. Paddy’s Day in the Beer Garden – The Glass Jug Lab Brewery (Durham)
Another beer garden event that will surely be one to remember! Stop by the Glass Jug on Saturday, March 13th from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm for live music, drinks, and their much anticipated, Irish Day Stout! There will also be live music from Tom Neuhauser from 4:00 – 7:00 and food from Bull City Street Food from 4:00 – 8:00.
Pre-Patrick’s Party – Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson (Raleigh)
Join Harley-Davidson on March 13th from 11:00am – 3:00pm with live music from Project 63 and food courtesy of JoCo HotDog Palace.
Shamrocks and Shenanigans – Pullen Park (Raleigh)
Bring the kids to Pullen Park any time between March 15th and March 21st for a fun-filled leprechaun-themed scavenger hunt! Dressing up is encouraged, depending on what team your kiddo considers themselves on! If they prefer to be Team Shamrock, dress them up as a leprechaun and if they prefer Team Shamrock, they can dress up as a pirate! Every child that finishes will receive a gold prize!
Annual Paddy Craic – The Kraken (Chapel Hill)
Head to The Kraken for their 5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day & Night Celebrations! Dance the night away in Chapel Hill to the best authentic Irish music in the Triangle!
St. Paddy’s Cigars & Live Irish Music – Mason Jar Lager Co (Fuquay-Varina)
Monthly cigar night at Mason Jar Lager Co falls on St. Patrick’s Day this year and they’re taking full advantage of it! On top of cigars for all, there will be live music on the patio and food trucks featuring seasonal, Irish, favorites!
St. Patrick’s Day and Egg Hunts with Goats – Spring Haven Farm (Chapel Hill)
Every holiday is better when Chapel Hill’s famous goats are involved! Through Sunday, March 21st, (from 10:00am – 5:00pm) enjoy a day on the farm full of St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunts, a petting zoo and holiday themed treats and beverages! They will also have “good luck coins” scattered throughout the farm each day and each child that finds one will receive a special surprise!
