Both local and national companies have been offering numerous discounts and free items to medical professionals and other professions on the frontlines protecting us as a way of saying thank you throughout the pandemic. Although there is always a risk when going to work in these industries, there is certainly a greater amount of danger when protecting us during a pandemic. These companies are doing what they can to alleviate the stress medical professionals, first responders and other essential employees are facing when going into work to protect us every day. If you qualify, make sure to check the list to see if you’d benefit from any of these free offers available to you!
Many grocery and convenience stores are giving medical professionals immediate access to the front of the line when waiting to get inside and shop. They understand how precious your time is and also want to make sure you are able to get whatever you need to stay healthy and safe. Just show your ID and work badge/information and get access to:
Sam’s Club – Sam’s Club has also enacted special hours for healthcare workers to shop. Starting April 19th, “hero hours” will take place from 8 am – 10 am. You don’t need a membership to shop these hours!
There are quite a few restaurants offering free food/drinks or discounts for healthcare professionals and first responders. Even though most of the service industry is suffering as well, they still want to help those fighting for our health and safety.
Sola Cafe – Located in Raleigh, the locally-owned coffee shop is offering a free drink to medical workers every Monday. Just show your badge!
Starbucks – They’re also offering free coffee! Cafes across the country are currently closed but the drive-thru remains open. There doesn’t seem to be a limit on how many days you can take advantage of this, so all medical workers and first responders, feel free to get your coffee fix before every shift.
IHOP – a 30% discount is being taken off of the bill for all those in the military, law enforcement, first responders and medical field. Make sure to mention this when ordering on the phone and have verification when you pick up your order.
O’Charleys – Offering a 25% discount for medical workers and first responders. Again, make sure to have your identification ready at pick-up and let them know ahead of time when you’re ordering.
Circle K – Through the end of April, Circle K is offering a free fountain soda, coffee or tea to all medical workers and first responders with their ID.
DoorDash – DoorDash is offering free corporate delivery to hospitals in the US and Canada for all nurses, doctors, and hospital employees. They’re also waiving all delivery fees.
Krispy Kreme – Every Monday, through the end of May, Krispy Crème is giving a dozen free doughnuts to all medical professionals.
Buffalo Wild Wings – Enjoy BOGO wings on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Plus, order your food directly through their app and delivery is free.
Little Caesars – Throughout the next few weeks, Little Caesars will be delivering free pizzas to hospitals throughout the country. They also have a promotion running that lets customers “pie it forward” and donate pizzas to their local hospitals, police stations, and fire stations.

Crocs – Crocs is giving away a free pair of shoes to everyone in the medical field. Check into the website at 12:00 pm Eastern every day to get your pair.
Big Lots – Offering 15% off for all medical professionals, first responders, active military and veterans with the code BIGHEROES at checkout.
BP and Amoco – All first responders and medical professionals/hospital employees are now eligible for a 50 cent/gallon discount! Get your code ahead of time!
Under Armour – They’ve always had a military discount but now the company is also offering a 40% discount for all first responders and medical professionals/hospital workers.
Airbnb – Through the end of May, Airbnb is lifting all fees for medical professionals to allow them to stay near their patients while safely social distancing from their families if they’re worried about exposing them.
Delta – All medical professionals can fly Delta for free when traveling to aid patients in impacted states such as New York, Georgia, Louisiana, and Michigan. As of now, the assistance runs through the end of June and tickets can be booked up to 3 days in advance.
Love Sac – A 40% discount on all Love Sacs and Sactionals are being offered to all medical workers, military, teachers and first responders.
