Keller Williams is dedicated to serving the communities in which they live and work, and Masha Halpern & The Boutique Real Estate Group take this serving spirit to heart. Below are a few of the charities, fundraisers and events we have been involved in helping, and we hope you will join us in serving these worthy organizations and causes as well!
At Keller Williams, one of our core values is giving back to the communities we serve. That's why every year, we participate in RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize, and Donate. It's a day where KW agents come together to support local organizations and make a positive impact in our neighborhoods.
This year, our Keller Williams Elite market center had the privilege of lending a helping hand at Parkwood Elementary School. It was a morning filled with camaraderie, hard work, and a deep sense of fulfillment as we contributed to beautifying the school grounds and facilities.
We rolled up our sleeves and tackled various projects, from mulching and landscaping to painting and decorating the bathrooms. The air was filled with laughter and a shared sense of purpose as we worked side by side, transforming the school's outdoor spaces and indoor environments. I personally worked on landscaping and mulching and can say that the mulch covered me as well.
One of the day's highlights was collaborating with Ola Stinnett from State Farm, a wonderful vendor partner, who enthusiastically joined us in creating beautiful rocks for the school's rock garden. This project not only added a touch of whimsy to the school but also served as a reminder of the lasting impact our efforts can have.
RED Day is a testament to the power of collective action and the difference we can make when we come together with a shared goal. It's a day that reminds us of the importance of giving back and the joy that comes from serving others.
At Masha Halpern & the Boutique Homes Team we believe success is measured by our positive impact on our communities and the families we work with, not just by the financial aspects of what we do. RED Day is just one of the many ways we strive to live up to that belief, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of service and support for years to come.
Masha Halpern & The Boutique Real Estate Group are proud to support this most worthy of organizations as TABLE’s initiative is to provide healthy emergency food aid to hungry children in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro areas. As part of all of our client appreciation events, Masha Halpern and The Boutique Real Estate Group collect food that is needed and pass it on to the organization. TABLE serves children ages 3-14, and their constant goals are to 1. Encourage healthy eating while exposing participating children to new healthy foods, 2. Bring UNC college students and community members together to help prepare and distribute healthy food to children who go hungry on the weekends, 3. Raise public awareness of local childhood hunger, 4. Offer programs/activities for local residents to get involved in helping local hungry children, and 5. Increase the number of children served every year. If you are interested in donating to this wonderful organization, you can view their information here.
Help us change lives and make a difference in our community! With each Home Sale, Masha will sponsor a dog into their FOREVER HOME! Embracing the profound act of adopting dogs through Independent Animal Rescues transcends the simple act of bringing a furry friend into one's home—it is a transformational journey that alters lives in the most heartwarming ways. For the dog, it signifies a second chance, a ticket to a life filled with love, security, and unwavering companionship. Each adoption unravels a narrative of resilience and hope for these animals, once overlooked or abandoned, as they find themselves at the center of a newfound family's affection. Simultaneously, the impact is immeasurable for the individuals and families who open their hearts and homes to these rescue pets. The bond formed is not just one of ownership, but of mutual healing and joy. The shared journey of growth, understanding, and unconditional love is a testament to the profound impact of compassionate choices, creating a harmonious tapestry of happiness for both pet and adopter alike. Adopting from Independent Animal Rescue is not just an act of kindness but an investment in the transformative power of love, nurturing a connection that enriches lives on both ends of the leash. Let’s give these adorable dogs a chance at a great home and happiness with you and your family. Learn more by contacting Masha at 919-414-0337.
Another avenue Masha Halpern & The Boutique Real Estate Group have taken to raise funds for TABLE and awareness for their mission is through hosting a wine-tasting event partnered with Wines for Humanity, which we held at our new office space for past clients. Wines for Humanity’s goal is to educate and entertain guests via the enjoyment of fine wines and how to taste and pair them with food – all for the sake of helping local causes and organizations. By the presentation’s end, guests order their selection of wine, and 9-12.5% of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity. Our wine-tasting event was successful and a huge delight, and we thank everyone who participated!
The Lerner Jewish Community Day School is dedicated to going above and beyond the call to providing children with a great academic experience. Lerner views a child’s education as a whole – “intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual” – and as such strives to provide students with a meaningful, well-rounded education while instilling the values and traditions of the Jewish religion. Masha’s son attended the Lerner School for his first seven years as a student, and Masha proudly served on the Board of Directors, acting as co-chair for one year and chair of the school’s fundraising committee for five years, which organized all fundraising events for the school’s tuition assistance program. In addition, Masha participated in/attended national conferences in California for Jewish Day School Fundraising Members. She has been a supporter of the Lerner School since 1998 and continues to make donations and participate in fundraising events for the school.
The Jewish Federation of Durham and Chapel Hill actively seeks to establish connections among the local community, aids the needy both near and far, and even offers and supports programs/services motivated by Jewish values that encourage living life with meaning. Believing strongly in these values for the betterment of society, Masha put her project management skills to good use when she served on the Jewish Federation Board of Directors to help develop and then co-chair with a fellow Lerner School parent the Corporate Sponsorship Program. She assisted in the creation of materials for this arm of the Jewish Federation, as well as in securing donors for this purpose, which brought about the building of the Levin Jewish Community Center. The Kiddush Cup Golf Tournament is one of the Federation’s most popular corporate sponsorship events held every year at Governors Club. Masha is proud to have served on this board!
The Charlotte & Dick Levin Jewish Community Center seeks the enrichment of the Jewish community, ultimately “by playing an integral, meaningful role in the lives of individuals, families, groups, and institutions through cultural, recreational, social and educational programs and activities.” The Levin JCC is welcoming to everyone and offers numerous stimulating activities for all ages, including swimming and diving lessons in the aquatic center, summer camps for kids, private aerial silk lessons, lectures in the community hall, fitness programs for every level and so much more. Masha is a founding member of this organization.
Judea Reform Congregation is located in the midst of both Lerner and the Levin JCC, and is committed to providing Reformed Jews in the Durham and Chapel Hill areas with a welcoming community in which to serve, worship, learn and live out the traditions of Jewish heritage. Those who embrace reformed Judaism experience at JRC “life-long learning, tikkun loam worship, celebration, community, connection to Israel, and meaningful lives.” The diversity of JRC members is great as they include the congregation’s founders, converts, native Triangle residents, singles of all ages, young families with children, interfaith families, and individuals from countries all over the world. Masha has been a member of this congregation since 1991.
If you are looking for ways to get involved in the Triangle area and one of the above interests you, feel free to contact us for more information. We are committed to serving these organizations in our area, and would love for you to join our efforts!
