What better way to celebrate Pi Day (3.14 in case you didn't know) then  grabbing a slice at one of our local pizzerias. We have highlighted a few of our local favorites in Durham, Chapel Hill and Carrboro. See one you think should be added, comment below! 

Cugino Forno 

Located in downtown Durham, Cugino Forno focuses on neapolitan style pizzas. They offer a wide variety of pizzas, salads, and plenty of drink options! Our personal favorites are The Funghi and The Livorno. Keep an eye out for their frozen pizza options that are coming soon! With ample seating for friends, families and even a large grassy field for the kiddos, this is a certain stop to celebrate Pi Day. If you have a hankering for something sweet, Two Roosters ice cream is right across the grass!

Alfredo’s Pizza

Locally owned and operated for over 10 years is one of our favorite stops in Chapel Hill. Alfredo’s Pizza located in University Mall offers a true slice of NY Style Pizza. Not only do they serve pizza, they also serve strombolis, calazones, subs, and so much more. You can't go wrong with any of their pizzas, but our personal favorite is a simple slice of cheese. 

Pizzeria Toro

An Italian inspired, wood fired pizzeria located downtown Durham, you can't go wrong with their delicious and expansive menu. Not only do they have both a red and white pizza menu, they have a delicious antipasti menu, and even make homemade desserts! One of our dinners starts with their suppli el telefono, one of their white pizzas, and to finish the meal, and their made to order zeppole.

Randy’s Pizza 

Randy’s pizza located throughout the triangle has been serving up delicious slices for over 25 years! They focus on authentic new york style pizza that is sure to satisfy any craving for pizza you might have! Not only do they serve delicious pizza, they also have subs, calazones, and so much more! Stop by for a slice, a pizza, or bring a few pals to split one of their 30” party pizzas!

Pizzeria Mercato

Located in downtown Carrboro, Pizza Mercato is the perfect spot to enjoy a neapolitan slice of pizza! While you can certainly enjoy a great slice of pizza, our favorite is the formaggi misti, they have plenty of other foods to enjoy as well!  They have top notch salads, delicious meatballs, and for your sweet tooth, gelato and cookies! 

Napoli 

 Napoli is a casual Neapolitan Pizzeria in downtown Carrboro.  They offer a wide selection of foods ranging from appetizers, True Neapolitan pizzas, local beers, wines & housemade artisanal gelatos! They are also pup friendly on the patio! With over 10 pizzas  on the menu with unique flavors you are sure to find a pizza you like to celebrate Pi day! 

Radius Pizza 

What better way to celebrate Pi day than to visit Radius Pizza in Hillsborough! Owned by Mick and Kate Carroll (who are NC Natives) They focus on serving  the best tasting gourmet pizzas, eclectic comfort-food entrees, salads and sandwiches in a welcoming, relaxed, family-friendly restaurant & bar. Whenever possible, they source as many ingredients from the community and the counties surrounding Hillsborough. You truly can't go wrong with any of their unique flavors!
